Day 4 - Dale's Mama grounds him and makes him clean out an old tobacco barn because he left the house after his curfew. Do you think this is a fair punishment? If not, what punishment is fair? What punishment would you receive if you left home in the middle of the night?
The majority of our class did not think this was a fair punishment because Mo had a good reason for Dale to help her find the murderer. We also believe this was not a fair punishment because they could've been looking for evidence, and it also seemed like a lot of work for one person.
ReplyDeleteIf one of our classmates left in the middle of the night we might receive a spanking, tv unplugged, electronics taken away (phone, computer, etc.), or grounded for a long time. We'll learn our lesson from Dale!
Most of the students in our class did think it was a fair punishment because a mother is going to be mad when her son is leaving the house late at night with a murderer on the loose. Dale's letter also didn't help the matter because he claimed to be a suspect.
ReplyDeleteIf one of us had left in the middle of the night we would have lost privileges such as the tv, video games, basketball, or playing outside. Everyone would have been grounded!
